Danish math-stadium rock group Isbjörg have released their new single ‘Inure' on October 26th 2023.
‘Inure’ is the fourth single from Isbjörg’s upcoming second full-length album which is expected to be released in the spring of 2024.
With its calm and atmospheric pace, ‘Inure’ showcases a more fragile and mellow side of Isbjörg. The song is a duet between lead singer Jonathan Kjærulff Skovlund and guest vocalist Margrethe Christine Wellejus and portrays a failing relationship that neither of them has the strength to end. The conflict and the music escalates slowly and finally culminates in an epic climax in true Isbjörg fashion.

On ‘Iridescent’ Isbjörg challenges the conventions and cement themselves as a band who strives to give something different to the world of progressive rock. Odd time signatures and polyrhythms combined with catchy hooks and lush melodies capture the listener in an intense and unpredictable soundscape.
The title ‘Iridescent’ as well as the artwork (Original painting by Freia Maria Faber) for the album encapsulates the colorful and lush vibe of Isbjörg’s sound. The music has many facets but they are all united by the energetic performances and the continuous fusion of the distorted guitars and the classic piano. The lyrical themes of the album also range widely, but with an overall melancholic yet hopeful feel to them.
As with Isbjörg’s previous work ‘Iridescent’ was written, recorded, mixed, mastered and published by the band themselves. ‘Iridescent’ is excactly the album Isbjörg wanted to make and captures the creative energy and playful rebelliousness that makes Isbjörg who they are.”
'Iridescent' was released on April 26th 2019. Isbjörg are now working on the follow-up. First single 'Ornament' out on January 27th 2023.

Isbjörg is a math-stadium rock band based in Aarhus, Denmark.
The aim of the band has always been to break musical boundaries without compromising the songwriting.
Odd time signatures and polyrhythms combined with catchy hooks and lush melodies capture the listener in an intense and captivating soundscape.
The 6-piece takes full control over their sound as they write, record, produce and engineer their music themselves, allowing them to shape their own and thoroughly unique sound.
Following the release of two EP's and singles, Isbjörg released their debut album ‘Iridescent’ in 2019. The album was very acclaimed by both fans and critics for its epic, piano-centered sound and the captivating songwriting.
After the release of ‘Iridescent’ Isbjörg have been touring around Denmark and played everything from small clubs to big festivals such as SmukFest in 2019. The last couple of years Isbjörg have worked intensively on writing their follow-up album. After the departure of singer Niklas Jespersen in early 2022, Isbjörg welcomed Jonathan Kjærulff Skovlund (Lara Luna) as their new lead singer and are now standing stronger and more focused than ever with four singles released in 2023 already. The latest being ‘Inure’ which was released on October 26th.
Isbjörg are currently finishing up the recordings of their 2nd album, which is expected to be released in the spring of 2024.
