It's finally happening! The long-awaited follow up to 2019's 'Iridescent' is out everywhere on November 1st, 2024!
On Falter, Endure Isbjörg sets out to break the boundaries of just how catchy and evocative math rock can be. Polyrhythms and odd time signatures walk hand in hand with beautiful melodies and captivating themes.
As always, the piano takes central stage in Isbjörg’s sound and bridges the gap between the hard-hitting rhythm section and Jonathan Kjærulff Skovlund’s beautiful, bright voice.
The duality of the compositions reflects Falter, Endure’s lyrical themes of dysfunctional relationships, self-doubt, religious reflections, loss and hopelessness, but also of courage and strength to fight the battles and emerge stronger on the other side. The title Falter, Endure reflects these themes: Even when you’re at your lowest, you can find the will to push through and overcome anything. The songs on the album describe personal conflicts where hope and despair is constantly battling, but with a sense of uplifting belief that everything will work out in the end.
Falter, Endure was engineered and mixed by Frederik Uglebjerg at Monorama studios in Aarhus, Denmark and mastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark. All pianos were recorded at Sonic College in Kolding, Denmark with Benjamin Høyer.
Falter, Endure will be available on every major streaming service and on vinyl in a very limited amount. To support the release, Isbjörg will go on a short release tour around Denmark:
November 8th Copenhagen, Spillestedet Stengade
November 23thAarhus, Radar
December 14thOdense, Studenterhuset
